Qatar Airways is the national airline of Qatar, one of the United Arab Emirates. It is a very ambitious airline, inspired by the very successful neighbouring airline Emirates from Dubai. The homebase of Qatar Airways is Doha International Airport.

The airline flies mainly widebody airliners, including the Airbus A340-600. The aircraft on the picture is approaching London Heathrow Airport.
