Airbus A300-600R - American Airlines
American Airlines belongs to the biggest Airbus A300 operators. Airbus Industrie had to develop a special process for the skin of the aircraft to fit the American Airlines bare metal colour scheme (photo below). The earlier A300s delivered to AA didn't have this polished skin, but still the protective grey paint on the fuselage.
American acquired a total of 35 A300-600R aircraft, which where delivered from 1988.
The American A300s are based at Miami International Airport, where both pictures are taken.
